The Bay of Islands Gateway Motel is amodern, small, 6 unit Boutique Motel situated at Ti Beach Paihia in the bay of Islands The motel is located right at the roundabout on the northern entrance to Paihia at Ti Beach. The Gateway Motel offers 6 modern, spacious and well appointed studio, 1 and 2 bedroom units. All of the units are self contained with kitchens, air conditioning, Sky TV, DVD player, broard band internet connection,in-room security safes, electric blankets, direct dial phones and ironing facilities. They are pleasantly decorated and very comfortable. The large bathrooms are all provided with heated towel rails,hair dryers quality bath linen and much larger than standard showers. The motel has a 4 Star Plus Qualmark rating, New Zealands only national and internationally recognised accommodation standards assessment organisation. For our guests's enjoyment we offer a private heated spa in a screened lock up courtyard, bbq area and sun deck,kayaks, beach towels and beach chairs. All units have balconies or patios provided with outdoor furniture. The units on the upper level have views across to the bay. Our studio units are well recognised for their size and space and are provided with a king bed, a single bed and a comfortable 2 seater lounge which easily converts onto a double slat bed. These units are popular with singles or couples and are also suited to small families with 1 or 2 children. The kitchens are provided with dining settings for 4 guests, micro wave, electric frypan , single element electric cook top, pots and cooking bowls, electric fry pan and fridge. The 1 bedroom units are provided with a separate bedroom with a king bed and large robe. There are 2 single beds in the living area. A 2 seater lounge converts into a double slat bed. There is also a dining setting for 4. These units are popular with couples, small families and groups of 4 to 6 guests The 1 bedroom units have a larger kitchen with a twin elment cook top and all the other inclusions of the studio kitchens and place settings for 6 guests. The 1 bedroom unit on the lower level is provided with access and facilities for disabled guests or those who may have trouble negitiating the stairs to the upper level. The bedroom is huge and the living area and bathroom have been dsigned for wheel chair access. This unit also is provided with a private screened sundeck with out door setting for 4. Our 2 bedroom family unit is very popular with families and larger groups of up to 6 guests. It has as a king bed in bedroom 1 and a king bed and a single bed in bedroom 2 and there is also a single bed in the living area. The lounge area is provided with a 3 seater lounge and a 2 seater lounge and there is a dining setting for 6. The kitchen is provided with all the inclusions of the 1 bedroom units with much more cupboard space to cater for larger groups. This unit is located on the upper level with a large balcony across the front and the guests BBQ area and sun terrace is adjacent on the same level. The Bay of Islands Gateway Motel is the ideal place for the guest who just wants to relax in your motel unit or at the beach while still only being a stroll along the water front into the town centre. After the long drive from Auckland, you can relax in your comfortable room or take a stroll along the water front. The beach is only 50m from the motel, so come into reception and grab a beach towel and go for a swim. Better still, if you feel up to it, grab a kayak and go for a paddle. You may just want to relax in the guests spa for a while.It is just the thing after a long day of travelling. If it is late when you arive , take a hot shower and relax in your comfortable king size bed and watch a complimentary DVD. We have a huge selection in th DVD library located in Receoption. The centre of Paihia is a casual walk along the waterfront.Visit the souvenier shops, cafes and restaurants or have a meal or drink in one of the many bars or restaurants
